 Independence Day Celebrations – New Jersey 2012      Friday, Aug 17, 2012 – Iselin, NJ.

India’s 65th independence day celebrations were held in Sri Shirdi Sai Cultural Center, Iselin NJ on August 17, 2012. Sri Viswayogi Viswamjee swamijee along with other dignitaries Congressman Frank Pallone, Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula, Edison Mayor Ms. Antonio Rosigliano, Dr. Dattatreyudu Nori and Rev. Moses Williams attended the function.

Speaking on the occasion of Indian Independence day celebrations on August 17^th in New Jersey, Sri Viswayogi Viswamjee expressed the service Sri Shirdi Sai Cultural Center rendering to the people and promoting the Indian culture of peace and integrity. Swamiji blessed Mr. Upendra Chivukula Asemblyman and honored him. Swamiji also blessed Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu.  Swamiji said that India and America should come closer and work together to bring about world peace. It is the duty of both Indians and Americans to work unitedly yo bring peace to Earth. Swamiji reiterated  again that if the earth is compared to human body then  India is the heart and USA is the brain and both have to work together to keep the earth and world healthy and peaceful. Swamiji added that India and America are the biggest democracies in the world and have a lot of similarities. There is religious tolerance in both the countries and so there are temples, mosques, churches in both the countries. There is complete freedom of religion in both the countries.  Both the countries should be ideal and role models for the rest of the world, become more powerful and should work together and put a permanent end to the violence prevalent today and promote love among people.

Also speaking to the audience Congressman Frank Pallone re-iterated the values that India and US enjoys related to religious tolerance and democracy  and urged the people to work together to shun the violence. Congressman also mentioned the importance of the environment and restoring the earth to its pristine and pure condition that is currently being forgotten.

The function concluded with felicitation of the dignitaries and a cultural program.
