November 27th - November 30th 2008

Swamiji reached Virginia in the early hours of the 27th November from New York. On the 27th November, Thanksgiving Day, Rudrabhishekam was performed in the Siva Vishnu Temple, Lanham, MD. After the Rudrabhishekam, Swamiji delivered His divine Discourse.

Swamiji visited the residences of many devotees and blessed them. Rudrabhishekam and Dattavratam were also performed in the divine presence of Swamiji.

Swamiji visited the residence of Dr. Gummuluru Sastry on the November 29th to console Mrs. Kanaka Sastry on the passing away of her husband Dr. Gummuluru Sastry who was a multi talented person endowed with human values and was very devoted and dear to Swamiji. Swamiji said that every one born has to die one day so once should not grieve over it, moreover a person like Dr. Sastry is an Amarajeevi, and it does not befit anyone to grieve. Dr. Gummuluru Sastry passed away in sleep on the night of 25th November. Swamiji conferred the award of "Man of Human Values" on Dr. Sastry, and presented it to Smt. Kanaka Sastry.
