Datta Jayanthi is being celebrated in Viswanagar on December 25th 2015 in the Divine presence of Swamiji. Swamiji is in India for Datta Jayanthi after many years, and seeing the situation it is obvious why Swamiji cut short his USA visit and returned to India. Swamiji has conveyed that he is in severe deeksha to protect the country and the world from natural calamities and reduce their intensity. This year during Datta Jayanthi Sri Lakshmi Nrsimha Kalyana Mahotsavam and Lakshmi Nrsimha Yaagam will be performed in Viswanagar especially for Universal Peace and Protecting the humanity and Mother Earth from Natural calamities. Swamiji desires that everyone should be a part of this Kalayana Mahotsavam and has conveyed that this Datta Jayanthi even those who are not physically attending the celebrations should mentally be a part of the Lakshmi Nrsimha Kalyana Mahotsavam and think about Universal Peace. The Datta Deeksha this year is especially for protecting the humanity from Natural calamities, terrorism and dreadful diseases and other sorrows afflicting humanity. Datta Diksha : November 15th - December 24th 2015
This year Datta Jayanthi falls on the 25th of December, and will be celebrated in Viswanagar, AP in the divine presence of Swamiji. (Details will follow)
Swamiji has conveyed that Datta Diksha can be observed starting from November 15th and ending the Diksha on the December 25th with the Datta Jayanthi Pooja. Those who can't begin the Diksha on the15th November can begin on the December 5th and observe for 20 days . Interested devotees may observe the Diksha, following the rules given below ending the Diksha on Datta Jayanthi day. Swamiji has conveyed that those who observe the deeksha with devotion following all the rules will benefit.
The rules for following this Diksha are as follows:

Every morning do pada puja to Swamijee’s paduka’s and keep reciting “Om Sri Sai Ram Gurudeva Datta” as many times as possible. Also recite the Viswaashtakam and repeat the Dhanvantari Mantram 27 times every day.

Read the Viswaguru Charitra as many times as possible during these 40 days (try to finish atleast one time). Also read the Viswaratnamala .

In food and behaviour one needs to follow rules.

Couples should practice Brahmachariya(celibacy) during this period

Eating meat, drinking alcohol and smoking are prohibited during this period.

One could have regular lunch and during dinner time try to take fruits/tiffin
-
Do not consume food available in the shops (ready eats)

Eat Satvik food. Avoid Masala’s, Basin-flour fried food and also root vegetables
-
Sleep on a wooden bed or on the floor over a mat
-
To keep the mind at ease, avoid watching TV and movies. Also avoid reading novels and detective books.

If it is not possible to start the Diksha on the above date, they could start the Diksha on December 5th and continue till December 24th 2015 (as a half mandala Diksha i.e. 20 days)

For Women, during period time, they can discontinue the Diksha and continue it after the 5 days till the end of the Diksha (25th Dec)

As far as possible avoid eating at other’s houses as that would add their karmic faults to you in doing so.

For the working people, if they are traveling as a requirement of their job, they could take food in the restaurants.

For those who follow the Diksha obeying all the rules, they would come out fine of any diseases or ailments that they may be having

Divine Blessings to all on the ocassion of the Birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. On this ocassion the real devotion we can offer is following his footsteps and His ideals. Sri Sathya Sai Baba is an embodiment of Love who has rendered great service to the society and is a gem born in India. What the government could not accomplish Sri Sathya Sai Baba has accomplished, He has provided water services, educational services and medical services to the poor and needy and put into practice service to humanity is service to god. He believed in free education, free medical services and spreading love and peace to all. He is an embodiment of divine power and love and practiced ideal spirituality.
Even today he exists in the form of secret and divine power in Puttaparthi and he has never left Puttaparthi. Today is the Birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Sathya Sai is incarnation of divine love. His educational system, medical system and service system is the universal message to the whole human race. Now some of the followers of Sathya Sai are thinking that he passed away. No, he disappeared and he is watching each and every person who told him that he is a firm devotee of Sathya Sai, and he is testing them to see if they are following his teachings, his message. What is that? It is to make the Earth a Prasanthi Nilayam. Why did he say that? He said that because he wants to live in Prasanthi (peace). There is no prasanthi in the minds of people, in the home, in the city, in the state, in the country or the world. So make your minds pure, make your minds abode of peace. Fill your heart with divine love, and fill your mind with peace and spread love and peace wherever you go. This is the message of Datta, and this is the message of Sai.
Are we ready to do this? He is asking for two flowers. He doesn’t want flowers from the market and 10 women sitting and talking all kinds of things and making a garland out of those flowers to put around his neck or on his portrait. He wants only two flowers. You don’t have to go t the market or your garden to get the flowers. The two flowers are in your body itself. They are the hridaya pushpa and the mano pushpa i.e. the heart and mind respectively. We are saying here are the flowers, Swami, please take them. Sai says, wait wait … they are not pure and don’t have good smell. So perfume them before you put them at my lotus feet. You have to perfume the heart with love and mind with peace. Then you put them at my lotus feet. Then I will be very happy, and will permanently live in your heart, leading, guiding and navigating you to myself. You are your all my heirs. I am giving power to you, so that you can do my duty, which is to make the world an abode of peace. But what are we doing? In the name of religion and in name of god we are quarreling and we are spoiling the whole human race. There should be no war in the name of religion or in the name of God. We are telling these little boys and girls, that they have to share with their friends or siblings. But what are we doing? We are ourselves not sharing and we are telling these children to share. So begin from yourself. Children will follow automatically.
Listen to me carefully. “Save, store and Share”. Without saving and storing we can’t share. We are ready to share our sorrows and burdens but we are not ready to share our joys or our wealth. My appeal to all the devotees of Sathya Sai on this auspicious day is, wherever you are in this world, unite and try to fulfill his aim. That is the birthday gift to him that you have to give. We are not listening to his words. We have to listen, and only then we will have the right to call ourselves as followers of Sathya Sai.
Sathya Sai said that he does not have any bhakta or devotee, he has only followers. What is the difference asked a DGP when I was in Hyderabad. I said he is giving a message, don’t call yourself devotees, be competent enough as followers. That is one should be ready to follow his footsteps, path, advice and teachings. Then you are followers. Sathya Sai wanted followers not devotees. Try to understand the message. I wish you grand success. On this auspicious day I wish that all the followers of Sathya Sai should unite and try to fulfill his aim and desire and take the light of Prasanthi Nilayam to each and every corner of the earth. Swamiji has said that on this day we have to thank and express gratitude to the Supreme Mother Adi Parashakti who has created the entire creation and the nature by Her divine will.
Swamiji has said that we have to thank the Mother Universe & Mother Earth as it is the basis for all humanity. We should love, serve, worship and protect the Mother Earth and express our gratitude. We have to keep the Earth pure and should not disturb balance among the five elements so that we can keep the earth safe and protect it and ourselves from natural calamities.
We have to have gratitude for the Mother who has kept us in her womb for nine months and given birth to us and after that taken care of us when we did not know anything. The mother is the first Guru for every individual and it is our duty to satisfy and keep the mother happy. The father also has to be thanked for all the hard work he does to bring us up and provides education and works to give us all the comforts in life. We have to also thank the Guru who guides us at every stage in life and takes care and gives us love of million mothers and also protects us. We have to thank God for giving us everything.
So the thanks giving day is the day to thank Mother, Father, Guru & God. We have to help each other and thank each other, and unite and make this earth an abode of love and peace, this is the only way we can thank the Supreme Mother Adi Parashakti.

Maanasa Samcharam, Draamkaaram : Essence of Spirituality
Swamiji has conveyed His Divine Blessings on the ocassion of Nagula Chavithi. Nagula Chavithi, this is not a festival where you are just worshipping some snake. It is not just about offering prayers to the serpent and pouring milk into the snake pit. In reality the snake represents the Kundalini power which is coiled inside us and resides at the bottom of the spinal cord in the Muuladhara Chakra, and it is this Kundalini that we are worshipping. We should enlighten the Kundalini power hidden within us and strengthen ourselves. The mind should dwell on the "Draam" the seed letter for Lord Datta. This seed letter will help you unlock the Hrid Granthi in the Heart. It will enlighten the intellect by unlocking the Brahma Grandhi and will nurture the power of action in the Rudra Grandhi, in the spine. The Draam is combined form of the Trimurthi's namely Brahma, Vishnu & Maheshwara and is beyond the three Gunas. Omkara is combination of the dot and the triangle in the srichakram. It is combination of the Hrimkaara and Srimkara. Hrim is on the right side of the brain and represents Siva and Srim is on the left side of the brain and represents Lakshmi. It is the divine ray that is emanating from all of the chakras as a result of the energy flow up and down from the mooladhara to the Sahasraram. The divinity exists in the centre of the heart and emanates as a blue ray. Draam bestows the Astha Siddhis and is combination of the eight forms of Lakshmi. This is the essence of spirituality.
