October 2012    December 2012

November 2012

his Month Features:

Swamiji has conveyed His Divine Blessings to all on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day, November 22nd 2012.

Swamiji has said that on this day we have to thank and express gratitude to the Supreme Mother Adi Parashakti who has created the entire creation and the nature by Her divine will.

Swamiji has said that we have to thank the Mother Universe & Mother Earth as it is the basis for all humanity. We should love, serve, worship and protect the Mother Earth and express our gratitude. We have to keep the Earth pure and should not disturb balance among the five elements so that we can keep the earth safe and protect it and ourselves from natural calamities.

We have to have gratitude for the Mother who has kept us in her womb for nine months and given birth to us and after that taken care of us when we did not know anything. The mother is the first Guru for every individual and it is our duty to satisfy and keep the mother happy. The father also has to be thanked for all the hard work he does to bring us up and provides education and works to give us all the comforts in life. We have to also thank the Guru who guides us at every stage in life and takes care and gives us love of million mothers and also protects us. We have to thank God for giving us everything.

So the thanks giving day is the day to thank Mother, Father, Guru & God. We have to help each other and thank each other, and unite and make this earth an abode of love and peace, this is the only way we can thank the Supreme Mother Adi Parashakti.

Maanasa Samcharam, Draamkaaram : Essence of Spirituality

Swamiji has conveyed His Divine Blessings on the ocassion of Nagula Chavithi. Nagula Chavithi, this is not a festival where you are just worshipping some snake. It is not just about offering prayers to the serpent and pouring milk into the snake pit. In reality the snake represents the Kundalini power which is coiled inside us and resides at the bottom of the spinal cord in the Muuladhara Chakra, and it is this Kundalini that we are worshipping. We should enlighten the Kundalini power hidden within us and strengthen ourselves. The mind should dwell on the "Draam" the seed letter for Lord Datta. This seed letter will help you unlock the Hrid Granthi in the Heart. It will enlighten the intellect by unlocking the Brahma Grandhi and will nurture the power of action in the Rudra Grandhi, in the spine. The Draam is combined form of the Trimurthi's namely Brahma, Vishnu & Maheshwara and is beyond the three Gunas. Omkara is combination of the dot and the triangle in the srichakram. It is combination of the Hrimkaara and Srimkara. Hrim is on the right side of the brain and represents Siva and Srim is on the left side of the brain and represents Lakshmi. It is the divine ray that is emanating from all of the chakras as a result of the energy flow up and down from the mooladhara to the Sahasraram. The divinity exists in the centre of the heart and emanates as a blue ray. Draam bestows the Astha Siddhis and is combination of the eight forms of Lakshmi. This is the essence of spirituality.

Tamaso Maa Jyothir Gamaya
swami

Swamiji has conveyed His divine blessings to all on the ocassion of Diwali. Dhana Trayodashi is on Sunday November 11th and Diwali is on Tuesday November 13th, and Amavasya falling on Tuesday is very significant.

In the past, this day is the historic day when the demon Narakasura who was causing terror on the earth was killed by Satyabhama with Krishna as the charioteer. Adi Parashakti incarnated as "Stri" to eliminate Narakasura who was creating unrest on the earth. Today we find many Narakasuras. Deepavali has to be observed as a day for getting rid of all the bad qualities in us, symbolized by the demon Narakasura. Each of us has to fight and destroy the demonic forces within each by resorting to Sathya (Truth). As such every man has to become one Sri Krishna. Every lady has to become a Sathyabhama and must become valarous. Every lady must illumine her house by conquering human hearts with divine love. Thereby violent tendencies and evil circumstances disappear

The inner meaning underlying the Diwali should be rightly understood. Note, for instance, the fact that the whole row of lamps are lit by the light from one lamp. That one lamp symbolizes the Lord. The others symbolize the light in individual selves.

The lamp points to another significant fact. Wherever it may be placed, the flame goes upwards only and never moves down. Likewise, the flame of Jnana (Spiritual Wisdom) leads one to a sublime level through the path of Righteousness. Everyone should endeavor to adhere to Truth. Truth is God. With faith in God and adherence to Truth, all demonic forces can be vanquished.

On this ocassion I call upon all the people of the world to unite and work to destroy the elements that are causing unrest in the society and make this earth an abode of peace. It is my wish that the Diwali, the festival of lights should take us from darkness of poverty to the light of prosperity, from darkness of sorrow to light of happiness and it should dispel the darkness of ignorance from the lives of men, and lead them to the light of knowledge, thereby filling everyones life with peace and prosperity.

On this ocassion It is my wish that all of you should fill your heart with humanity and make an united effort to bring about peace and happiness and make this earth an abode of peace.

Text of Swamiji's Discourse delivered on Diwali day in Seattle
Diwali, October 26th 2011
 Seattle, WA

Dear Embodiments of love.

Today is Diwali. It is a very auspicious festival. In the month of Aswija we celebrate Navarathri from Padyami to Poornima. Today we are doing Lakshmi pooja. Diwali is a three day festival starting with   Dhana Trayodashi, Naraka chaturdashi and the third day is celebrated as Diwali.  Demon Narakasura was killed by Sri Krishna and his wife Sathya Bhama.

Narakasura did lot of Evil in the world.  He imprisoned all the women and harassed them.  To save all these women who were imprisoned Lord Krishna fought with Narakasura.  Narakasura was killed by Satyabhama, Lord Krishna’s wife.  Narakasura who imprisoned and ill-treated women was actually killed by a woman. Where women get insulted and put to trouble there is a lot of unrest.  Where women are worshipped there is peace and the Gods shower their blessings. The women should be worshipped as a Mother, as a sister, as a daughter and we have to keep them satisfied and happy.

On Dhana Trayodashi we worship Lakshmi  Kubera who actually pleases Goddesses Lakshmi.  On Naraka Chaturdashi Satyabhama killed demon Narakasura. This festival actually celebrates victory for women, as a woman killed the demon who ill-treated women. We think that we are celebrating the festival as Lord Krishna killed the demon Narakasura, but in reality Sathyabhama killed Narakasura.

The day after Diwali, the month of Karthika begins. Today on Deepawali it is New moon day or Amavasya.  Amavasya  is considered inauspicious but in reality it is very auspicious. Today we worship Goddess Lakshmi.  Goddess Lakshim is pleased and she gives you the eight forms of wealth  ( Asta Lakshmi). The eight forms of Lakshmi being Adi Lakshmi, Dhaanya Lakshmi, Dhairya Lakshmi, Vidya Lakshmi, Santana Lakshmi, Dhana Lakshmi, Gaja Lakshmi & vijaya Lakshmi. I wish that Goddess Lakshmi blesses you with the eight forms of wealth and prosperity.

Both India and America have to be made financially strong and peaceful. We have to come out of this financial crisis and be strong. Not only this, we have to become peaceful.  On the third day of the Kartheeka Maasa that is the Tadia, it is the day when the brother should go to the sister’s house and have food prepared by her and enquire her welfare. After this is Nagula Chavithi, this is not a festival where you are just worshipping some snake. In reality it is the  Kundalini power which is coiled inside us like the snake that we are worshipping.  We should enlighten the Kundalini. For this we need the blessing of Goddess Lakshmi. Goddess Lakshmi is the power of will in us.  In order to get the power of will we are doing the Lakshmi pooja today.

Goddess Lakshmi is the combination of the three powers, namely power of will, power of action and power of knowledge i.e  Iccha Shakti, Jnana Shakti and Kriya Shakti and these are Lakshmi, Saraswathi & Parvathi. The combination of these three is Mahaa Lakshmi, Viswa Janani or the Universal Mother or Universal Power. Today if we worship Goddesses Lakshmi and make these three powers our own then success is ours in life.

I bless you all and everyone in the world , and may Goddess Lakshmi shower the eight forms of wealth and make this world an abode of peace.  The divine splendor  of Diwali should spread all over the world. My Hearty divine blessings to you all.

Namaste tu Maha Maye, Sri peethe Sura poojithe
Shanku Chakra Gada Haste, Mahaa Lakshmi Namosthute
