Guru Poornima
It has been a tradition for ages to worship the Guru during the GURUPUJA celebrations on the Guru Purnima day, Poornima(Full moon day) of the month of Ashada. This is not confined to any particular region or religion or caste. The festival is to be observed by the entire human race as a mark of its gratitude for the Guru, the river of knowledge.
Mother is the first Guru for any person, so is a very important person. Guru Poornima is celebrated in Viswanagar as Mothers Day or Maatru Dinotsavam(The day when the mother is worshipped).
